We stumbled across this great video by Chef Todd Mohr. He’s travelled to wonderful local markets from Kawaii to Paris. Now here he is at our 74th Street store, to behold the splendor of our fruits and veggies, cheeses, meats, deli & appetizing counter, our bakery wafting heavenly baking-right-now-baguette-aromas and all the rest.
He hits the nail on the head as to why Fairway’s so different. The beauty! The abundance! The attention to detail! Who else cures and smokes their own salmon? Rolls their own bagels, by hand? Tells stories and imparts education with encyclopedic signage? “The size, the quality, the quantity!” Right on. “Even a mushroom aisle!”
