What a wonderful whirlwind of a week. We’ve been camping out at Woodland Park, New Jersey, building, planning, organizing, setting up, stocking, signing, and readying our newest store.
On Wednesday, we cut the ribbon and the crowd came pouring in. They wanted to check out this fabulous new place. We were thrilled to invite them into our pride and joy, to watch them explore our stunning mountains of fruits and veggies, to snag insanely affordable $4.99 Fairway EVOO and $5.99/lb filet mignon, to sample aged manchego smeared with fig jam, to wonder our awesome organic soaps and potions, to nibble on addictive Cara Cucina garlic artichoke cream, to gaze at our shiny and powerful coffee roaster. And! To peruse the Wine and Spirits shop, full of crisp Austrian whites, juicy Cali reds, and so much more.
When I stopped running around long enough, I too marveled at the golden brown samosas in the hot bar, the pomegranate seed-spiked lemonade that one of our chefs Vinnie was proud to show off, the gleaming fish counter, the British foods (vegemite!?), the olive bar, the freakishly awesome smoked salmon, the perfect roast beef, the Catalan wine vinegars. What an awesome store.
Here’s Floyd, our talented artist, hard at work. He’s one of a whole incredible crew who made the magic of Fairway Woodland Park happen, cutting cheese and pricing olive oils, foamboarding signs and baking baguettes bright and early and late, late into the night.
And our famous, extraordinary butcher counter.
We hope you come visit!
